Description
This sunset of Mt. Jefferson and Mt. Clay was taken from the Mt. Eisenhower Overlook on New Years Eve 1979. I went out to shoot the last sunset of the decade. When I got through Crawford Notch State Park on Route 302 and entered Bretton Woods I could see the Lenticular clouds over The Presidential Range. The sun was coming and going and there was a bank of clouds to the west. I set up and found my composition of Mt. Jefferson and Mt. Clay, the clouds were more pronounced over these two mountains. I had a quick shot of light that light up the clouds that lasted for just a few seconds. I got this shot but there could have been so many more if the sun had only cooperated.
