Description
This photograph of a sunrise on Mt. Washington and the Presidential Range was taken from Jackson, NH. Mt. Washington is in the White Mountain National Forest, which is part of New Hampshire’s White Mountains. This morning the snow storm had just ended and the clouds were clearing from the summit of Mt. Washington. As the sun rose over the ocean the clearing clouds forced the early morning light to lite up the mountains creating this magical scene. Of all the sunrises that I have shot during the winters of my 40 years of photographing this one was among the best.
