Description
This photograph of snow covered lodge pole pines was taken on the summit of Two Top Mountain on the Continental Divide in West Yellowstone, Wyoming. We had rented snowmobiles for our winter visit to Yellowstone National Park. Two Top Mountain is right outside of the town of West Yellowstone and is famous for snow covered trees. It’s elevation, abundant moisture, and accessibility make it a great place to photograph snow ghost trees. Lots of snow means lots of weather and I can tell you we had many days of fog and snow, but that is what you need to shot these types of compositions.
