Description
This is another image of Mt. Everest taken from the climb as we were going up Kala Pattar. When you stay at base camp of Mt. Everest you can not see the summit, because you are to close with it’s West Shoulder blocking your view. The trail up Kala Pattar is 4 miles down valley from base camp and offers the classic views of Mt. Everest. As we camped at the base of the mountain we had a decent snow storm. We stayed at camp as our team of sherpas and yaks went to lower elevations so the yaks could eat. This gave us a few more days to climb and photograph Mt. Everest and other Himalayan mountains.
