Description
Boott Spur makes up the Eastern flank of Mt. Washington, which is in the White Mountain National Forest in Pinkham Notch, NH. This image was taken from the base of the Mount Washington Auto Road along Route 16 as it passes through Pinkham Notch. The colors always change first at the higher elevations of New Hampshire’s White Mountains. The benefit here is that if you are lucky some years you will be able to shoot the fall colors with snow on the high elevations of Mt. Washington. This image was shot early one morning as the sun’s first rays light up the mountains.
