Description
This photograph of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire’s White Mountains was taken from Square Ledge in Pinkham Notch. You can access the trail to Square ledge from across the street from the Appalachian Mountain Club which is shown in the bottom of the photograph. It is about a 40 minute climb but is very steep. This shot was taken on the best fall color-snow covered Mt. Washington I have ever had. When I got to the ledge I saw the Mare’s-tail cloud approaching the summit. Waiting for the cloud to move over summit gave me great compositions that I was very pleased with.
