This photograph of Mt. Jefferson and the Presidential Range with the Mt. Washington Hotel in the foreground was taken from the grounds of the Mt. Washington Hotel in Breton Woods,NH. This image was taken years ago, the hotel does not put Christmas lights on the roof any more. Long exposures are necessary to capture the evening light with the Mt. Washington Hotel Hotel all lite up. This is best done about a half hour after sunset. The most difficult part of this composition was waiting for there to be no cars on the road leading up to the hotel.
